This sonde landed 20m high in a tree. I could locate it on the day of the flight. Checking some other cold sondes in the area I visited the site on December 30, 2018. The sonde had swung into a neighboring tree and was only 11-12m high. Today I returned with my 15m telescopic stick and could bring this one down. It is quite nerve-wrecking to operate a telescopic stick in stormy weather. More here:
