This hunting was a suddenly idea. I was see on the map,that the sonde probably landed on a field. When i was arrived to the landing area the signal was strong.
The sonde was on a field, but without the balloon and the parachute. I checked the telemetry data then i saw, that after the balloon burst the sonde's speed was about 460km/h.
Of course this speed is only possible at high altitudes. Near to the ground, the sonde's speed was about 50km/h.
The traces of the impact are visible on the bottom of the sonde, but the sensor boom and the temperature sensor is still working.
I dont know what was happened after the burst and why the string was torn.

I watched this sonde on maps from Prague and remembered a similar situation when the sonde crossed the border from Slovakia, where no one dared to go to Hungary, to the area of Vámosmikola. Therefore, I am glad that today was caught.

tnx for the photos, some M10 from Vienna have lost cute and balloon, but also batteries , so difficult to catch the signal

This M10 was very lucky, because it was completely wrapped around with scotch tape, unlike the previous days ones.

Hi Adam, tnx for that, we wrote to Hohe Warte Vienna, because that was a problem with fallen out batteries due to the thin bottom layer and suggested to use tape. pse watch out if they do it continouly, unfortunatly we have no once here in Austria to recover
